Bay Beaches
The Bay Beaches will provide hours of entertainment for children and is an easy way to pass the morning and evening. Along Nepean Road you will find car parks and entrances to park so you can check out any number of bay beaches. Our favourite for a close-by is just a stroll outside our gate to Sorrento Front Beach. There are no waves, but it will provide hours of fun. Follow Dorothy Houghton Walk leaving our property from the garden gate. The 270m walking trail goes between Camerons Bight Beach and Sullivan Bay. Take this leisurely stroll along the Sorrento shoreline to enjoy beautiful views of the bay. A bit further along, there are some beautiful and quiet swimming bay beaches along the road between Sorrento and Portsea.

Diamond Bay
Accessible via the Coppins walking track which runs along the coast or by driving to Diamond Bay Road in Sorrento. This cove is spectacular and will have you feeling like you’ve uncovered a secret paradise.
** Very limited parking,  please consider locals. Take your time finding the different beaches along the Mornington Peninsula, from the popular Shelley’s Beach in Sorrento to Gunnamatta or St Andrews. Cape Schanck offers beautiful coastal walks and a very impressive lighthouse. Check out the Parks Victoria website which lists the coastal walks in this area if you are keen to explore further.

Ocean Beaches
The dramatically beautiful Sorrento Ocean Beach is only a 5 minute drive away from Kona Kahlua, and the fabulous coastal walk between Sorrento Beach and the coastline will impress. This beach does have flags, as well as rock pools and a café, and completely transforms between high and low tide. Sorrento is a favourite beach for those who love swimming. The roads off Old Melbourne Road are a treasure trove of small ocean coves where you can swim and cliff jump for the daring. We suggest the Blairgowrie Jumping Rock at low tide and Diamond Bay.

Ferry
If you’re thinking of heading over to the Bellarine Peninsula for a day trip, Searoad Ferries will take you there. The ferry is a 2 minute drive from Kona Kahlua. In peak season we recommend booking ahead. Searoad Ferries 10 Esplanade, Sorrento VIC.
